The Southern District of Illinois has five U.S. District Judges (one of whom is a senior Judge), and three Magistrate Judges. Geographically, the district covers thirty-nine counties from the Kentucky border on the south to Metro East counties bordering Southern Illinois on the West.  There are two divisional offices located in East St. Louis, and Benton. There are 46 staff members on board.
